The Post & Beam is a historic, mid-1800's Victorian farmhouse conveniently located 33 minutes from downtown Nashville,TN with interstate to the entrance.  Click on How to Find Us


WELCOME to The Post & Beam and please step inside for history, hospitality, and delicious memories.  Each room in the 4,500 square foot house has its' own distinct personality. All rooms flourish in rich and bold Victorian colors, furnishings and style. This tour is only a glimpse of the charm and kinds of space available.                                                                               From the Foyer, notice the original tongue and groove on the ceiling with a turn of the century chandelier, original wainscoting, and walnut floors. The Post & Beam can seat 100 for dinners and up to 400 for 'Stand-Up' Receptions.


The Conference Room and adjoining area (photo below) will seat up to 24.

The Red Room offers drama and style for any event.  The room is anchored by the original fireplace, hand carved mantel, and hand made bricks.  Notice the original tongue and groove on the high ceiling, original wainscoting, and rich walnut floors. The tables are draped in black linens and are surrounded by antique banquet chairs for seating. The Red room seats up to 24.

The Parlor has rich jewel tones and is anchored by the original fireplace and mantel with hand made bricks and mud mortar from the 1800's. The tables are draped in black linens surrounded by antique banquet chairs for seating.  The Parlor seats 18.

The Mural Room is flanked by two wall length museum murals of rural life on the property in the 1800's.  Centered overhead is a 2,000 lb. red oak beam where architectural lighting highlights the rich wood tones. The Mural Room seats 24.  


The Post & Beam Room is the namesake of the historic farmhouse.                               

The ten foot stained glass window in the Post & Beam Room was designed from an 1848 quilt pattern from New England with state flowers around the border. 

The Spiral Staircase in The Post & Beam Room is made of oak and mahagony and a masterful piece of craftsmanship that leaves artisans awestruck.  Beneath the staircase, guests can relax with a cup of coffee, tea, or a glass of wine.  The hand pegged and free standing Spiral Staircase leads to the cozy Attic Lounge.


The Attic Lounge is a cozy vaulted room that seats 22 and is located at the top of the Spiral Staircase.
