As you plan for your wedding, you may be experiencing sticker shock at what venues charge. If you are a bride or groom, the parents of the couple, or re-marrying, there is no doubt that rental rates, catering prices and the list of wedding expenses are overwhelming. The Post and Beam is a romantic and historic setting that is affordable for almost every couple.
A beautiful Weddng Arbor sits on the front lawn and near an ancient Sugar Maple tree. The Bride can drape the arbor in her favorite fresh flowers and greenery to create a magical setting for her wedding.
This is a very romantic spot to exchange vows during summer and early fall months when shrubs and flowers are in bloom. We provide white wrought iron stakes for candles and floral arrangements. The Wedding Arbor can be decorated in fresh star-gazer lilies, daisies, roses, or other favorite flowers. Oh, what a beautiful and memorable site!
Rehearsal Dinners can seat up to 100 guests throughout the farm-house and Receptions can handle 400-500 standing guests in the jewel-toned and intimate rooms. Please book your Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding, and Reception early because couples are discovering this beautiful and affordable venue, especially since there’s nothing else like it. Of course, your wedding will be unique to your choices, therefore, the following pricing is a general guideline and Jim is happy to help make it happen within budget.
Bridal Dressing Rooms are upstairs in the farmhouse, as well as two bathrooms for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready.

- 75 Guests or less: Lease The Post & Beam for 10 hrs, $1,495
- 76-150 Guests: Lease The Post & Beam for 10 hrs, $1,995
- 151-350 Guests: Lease The Post & Beam for 10 hrs, $2,495
- 351-500 Guests: Lease The Post & Beam for 10 hrs, $2,995
Question: Why does the price increase with the number of guests? Because it requires more staff and operational costs when you have more people.
When you lease the 1850 farmhouse for your wedding, Jim Ganus, Site Manager, is happy to work with you to plan the use of the lawn, wedding arbor, historic house, including two of these expensive and beautiful wrought iron wedding candelabras (5 globes on each stand) that can be used inside or outside. To customize your wedding, you may prefer a smaller indoor wedding, a larger outdoor wedding with a large tent, or to exchange vows under the wedding arbor. Any way you look at it, your wedding day will be beautiful! Please note: There is a $500 Damage Deposit (which will be returned ) and $200 clean up fee. We are happy to re-arrange furnishings in each room inside the historic house for a small service fee per room. Reservations-Contact Us

* Please note: The Post and Beam does not allow any outside catering. Becky Daniel or Jay Rummage, Chefs du Cuisine, will prepare the Rehearsal Dinner and/or Reception.
*Vendor fee: What is this? We realize your mother or aunt may be an excellent baker and can make your wedding cake, or your cousin may be a good photographer and can take the wedding photos, or your best friend may be a whiz with flowers. No doubt, having these services provided by family and friends will be a great savings to you. However, we lose money when you do not use our vendors, and to help us defray our costs while we help you to defray yours, there is a small service fee for services used outside of the Post and Beam vendors. Example: a) When you provide the Wedding Cake and do not use the Post & Beam, there is a $35 Service Fee b) When you provide the Flowers and do not use the Post & Beam, and there is a $50 Service Fee c) When you use your own photograher and do not use the Post & Beam, there is a $50 Service Fee
